My very first hummus

Over the weekend, I got a little too bored and craved hummus. Figured since I had some tahini ( sesame paste), I'll grab chick peas from the store and work on my dip. May I just say, I did not know hummus was this easy to make. I left the blender on for a few more seconds and over processed it! lol. It still tasted good but I'll be careful next time. I served it with slightly toasted warm pita bread and boy was it DELICIOUS! ;-)

Next came the tabouleh or tabouli or however you spell it. The store had run out of bulgur wheat so I can't tell you when last I made tabouleh. Happened to be grocery shopping and ..* drum-roll* came by some bulgur staring right back at me and you bet I grabbed some! Came home and made my Mediterranean salad. Some people like it with more bulgur in there. I like mine with more parsley and a bit of mint.

P.S If you live in the States, Americans call chick peas "Garbanzo beans". Took me forever to find it because of the name confusion but definitely worth every minute of that struggle.
